Arizona cuts a striking figure in head-to-toe tones of teal. But it’s her little hair flip that injects a bit of non-seriousness into the look. Flip away. (PS: Want. Those. Shoes.)

The “magazine as mask” is really working for her. Like-y.

Though we love the faded turquoise hair, we have to say that these platinum strands and bleached-out brows really jive with Lady Gaga.

What: Cindy Sherman for MAC, Fall 2011

Purpose: To bring out your inner artist—no matter how crazed!

Gain: Bright colors for fall? YES! Artist Cindy Sherman collaborates with MAC on three color lines, this one being the most chromatic of the bunch. Neon in autumn, anyone?

What: Graphic liner, Fall 2011 (keep an eye out for “Backstage Beauty” in the Fall 2011 issue of Beauty Etc.!)

Purpose: The lush, cloggy lashes seen on the Fall runways aren’t nearly as cool when worn alone. When paired with some graphic liner (as seen here at DKNY), they’re simply…well, eye-catching.

Gain: We’re getting so bored just lining our lash lines. Viva la artful liner!

We’re Inspired By: Makeup artist Beau Nelson, who we interviewed for our upcoming “Hollywood Highlighter” about Kristen Stewart (he pretties her up for several red-carpet events). Though we love his red-carpet work, we love his editorial handiwork—like this image from his portfolio—even more. (via TheWallGroup.com)
Why We Love It: The simple sheen and contrast is amazing.
